A DAY OF WORKSHOPS ON SUNDAY JUNE 28TH

WITH

KENNY KLEIN

KENNY KLEIN is a Witch High Priest, singer/songwriter, excellent instrumentalist and published author. His book The Flowering Rod; Men and their Role in Paganism is available on Immanion Press, and his book Through The Faerie Glass will be published by Llewellyn Worldwide in January 2010. Kenny has been performing music in the Pagan community for over two decades, and has released many CDs of Pagan music. Currently Kenny is touring with his new band Odd’s Bodkin.

Each workshop may be attended separately, but each will expand on the previous workshop to present an overall picture of Pagan culture and community throughout the U.S. stretching from the last several decades to the present.

12:00 noon: The History of Modern Paganism: Join Kenny for a look at Paganism in the U.S. How did this popular movement begin? Who are the Pagans? What do Pagans, Wiccans and Druids do? Why would you want to shake Alex Sanders’ hand? And why were 1951 and 1979 good years for Pagans?

2:30 PM: The Lost Secrets of Wicca: Many books have been written about Paganism and Wicca, but books cannot tell the whole story. Many authors are bound to keep certain secrets, and many are simply not fully trained. Learn traditions of Pagan Wicca that are seldom taught or discussed, and that are slowly disappearing from the Pagan tradition.

4:00 PM: An Opinionated History of Pagan Music: Kenny Klein has been performing Pagan music for decades, and has helped to create the genre of Pagan music. Join Kenny for a look at Pagan music from the late ‘70s to the present explosion of Pagan performers. You will hear clips of many influential Pagan recordings, including those of Pagan songstress Gypsy.

Workshops: $15 each; $35 for all 3; $45 couple/family for all 3

8:00 Concert with Odd’s Bodkin   Concert: $10; $15 couple/family
